VACATION VIBES. DANCE PARTY.
FEATHERS & NEONS? BRING IT.
The Speakeasy nightclub beneath Bier Markt & Bar Cento, owned by Hospitality veterans Sam McNulty and Mark Priemer of Market Garden Brewery was an epicenter of fun for many years. But as the neighborhood evolved, and more “speakeasy” concepts entered the fold, the space needed fresh energy, a more distinct & ownable identity, and a full-scale redesign and reimagining — to bring the party.
Coming out of a two-year shutdown, the team wanted to bring an extra level of fun to the neighborhood. Somewhere folks could get away, come together, and let loose. Sixth Element helped them build a new concept from the ground up, from naming and identity all the way through design/build and digital expression.
MIAMI VICE MAXIMALISM.
Bird of Paradise is auspicious and exotic in a tongue-in-cheek, unapologetically maximalist vibe. It’s the antithesis of boring. The antidote to ennui. It’s a party.
The logo mark is an abstract exotic bird and a vinyl record, paying homage to the name and identity of this DJ-centric nightclub. Purpose-designed for neon signage, it’s the heart of our Art Deco meets Miami Vice design. A modern dance party with throwback flair, imagery is enjoyment-driven, sexy and modern. A study in contrasts: Escapism and the exotic, modern and throwback, stylized and no-frills, tropical vacation, yet authentically Cleveland.
Leafy tropical wallpaper blends bright, eye-popping magenta with dark, rich greens. Clouds of feathery white pendant lights create a warm, frothy glow over the shimmery gold island bar. The entryway lounge adds calm and sophistication with black lounge seating, boxwoods and gold-trimmed mirrors.
